Steamers on the Grill

Ingredients

3 lbs. fresh steamer clams.
½ bunch fresh basil, chopped.
½ lemon, cut into rounds.
3 TblP. whole butter.
¼ cup white wine.
Foil for wrapping.

Instructions

POUR STEAMER CLAMS ONTO ONE SIDE OF THE FOIL. SPRINKLE BASIL OVER THAT. ARRANGE LEMON OVER THAT. ADD BUTTER. FOLD FOIL OVER THE CLAMS AND START TO SEAL ALL THE WAY AROUND LEAVING ENOUGH SPACE FOR CLAMS TO OPEN (LOOSELY) JUST BEFORE CLOSING. ADD WHITE WINE. PLACE ON GRILL OVER MEDIUM HEAT AND COOK 7-8 MINUTES OR UNTIL CLAMS HAVE OPENED.

Serves 2-4.
