Grilled Halibut with Orange Sauce


1-1/2 lbs. halibit steaks, thawed.
1/2 cup orange juice.
2 green onions, diagonally sliced.
1 Tbsp. lime or lemon juice.
3 Tbsp. oil, divided.
1/4 tsp. ground ginger.
1/8 tsp. salt.
Seasoned flour
Orange slices (optional).

Seasoned Flour: Combine 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/8 tsp. pepper.


Place halibut steaks in shallow baking dish. Combine orange juice, green onions, lime juice, 1 Tbsp. oil, ginger and salt. Pour over halibut; marinate for 30 minutes.

Dip halibut in seasoned flour. Saute in 2 Tbsp. oil allowing 10 minutes cooking time per inch of thickness measured at its thickest part, or until halibut flakes easily when tested with fork. Turn steaks halfway through cooking time.

Remove halibut to platter, keep warm. Add marinade to skillet and reduce to half the volume ( about 1/3 cup). Pour over halibut. Garnish with orange slices.
